Campus: Books
Thanks to a generous donation, the library has been enriched with numerous new books. Whether for kindergarten, primary school, or middle school, there’s something for everyone! Both German and English titles, including individual and class readers, now expand the collection and invite discovery. Special thanks go to everyone who helped with cataloging and covering the new books.
School Chess Day in the Industrial Quarter
This school year, a primary school team from Stella Seebenstein participated in the Industrial Quarter School Chess Day. It turned out to be a success for the five kids and their coach Josef Petz! They played partly flawless chess and proved they can compete with the best teams in the Industrial Quarter.
Particularly noteworthy are the top scorers: Matthew Schmidt (6/7) and Oscar Rodax (5/7).
After the event ended, all participants were proud and a little disappointed
that 3rd place (and thus a trophy!) was missed only due to a marginally worse tiebreaker.
All the more meaningful is the players’ promise to participate even more eagerly in lessons.
Kindergarten: Discovering Letters
In kindergarten, we embarked on an exciting journey into letters. With our letter machine, the children could write their own names. Afterward, we created a colorful name chain from the letters. This way, the children could not only recognize their names but also design them. Everyone had great fun, and the joy over their own letters was immense.
Spring in the Movement Room
The movement session in kindergarten was all about spring. With great joy and energy, the children transformed into buzzing bees, fluttering butterflies, and growing flowers. Playful exercises and creative movement activities invited them to experience spring with all their senses and discover their own joy of movement.
Lent in Kindergarten
In kindergarten, we are creating an Easter tomb together, gently approaching the meaning of Easter. The Lenten cross and working through various Bible stories accompany us on this journey and help the children consciously experience the time until Easter.
Primary School: Visit from Kroko – Brushing Teeth is Fun
In primary school, we had a special visitor: Kroko came by and showed the children how important proper tooth brushing is. Together they practiced how to brush teeth thoroughly and what to pay attention to. With lots of fun and new tips, the children now know even better how to keep their teeth healthy.
Climbing in the Gym
In the primary school gym, the children could try out their climbing skills. They climbed, swung, and balanced on the wall bars, hanging ladder, and ropes. With lots of joy and movement, the children strengthened their strength, dexterity, and courage. The varied movement course was great fun for everyone.
Bears
In the primary school craft class, the children tackled a special task with great patience and skill: embroidering colorful bears. Step by step, they learned how to use needle and thread and faced the small challenges this technique brings. Even when it wasn’t always easy, the children didn’t give up and continued working with concentration. In the end, everyone could proudly hold their finished works in their hands.
Stations of the Cross
The primary school students recently experienced a special religious moment: Together, the students made their way to the Seebenstein Nature Park to pray the Stations of the Cross there. Amidst the quiet and natural surroundings, the children could consciously experience each station and engage with the content in an age-appropriate way. Accompanied by their teachers, the Stations of the Cross became a reflective experience that not only strengthened faith but also fostered a sense of community. The connection of nature, movement, and spirituality made this outing a lasting experience for all participants.
Middle School: Ski Course 2026
The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades of middle school spent an eventful ski week in Spital am Pyhrn. Accommodated at the Lindenhof Youth Paradise, the students enjoyed great lodging and excellent food that provided the necessary energy on the slopes.
Skiing was primarily about having fun, and that came quickly: Everyone made great progress and significantly improved their skills. There was also plenty to do off the slopes—cinema, sports hall, game nights, and many group activities created a great atmosphere. A special highlight was the talent show, where students could showcase their abilities in creative ways.
The ski course will be remembered not only as a sporting experience but also as a wonderful community event.
After-School Care: Nature Walk
With the first warm rays of sunshine, we took a nature walk together. The fresh air, the chirping of birds, and the awakening nature created a special atmosphere. Along the way, we also stopped at a natural monument and took a closer look at it. We learned fascinating things about its special features and why such places are so important for our nature. A lovely walk with much to discover.
Tennis in the Movement Room – Excitement!
The children are currently practicing tennis in the movement room with great joy. They playfully train with racket and ball, improving their coordination. The enthusiasm is great, and so is the anticipation: at the beginning of April, the large outdoor tennis court opens again. Then the children can show their skills outside too.
Easter Crafts in After-School Care
In after-school care, the children were busy crafting for Easter: from cups and colorful pipe cleaners, they created lovingly designed Easter nests in the shape of little bunnies. With lots of creativity and joy, the children decorated their nests individually and had great fun creating together. The finished Easter nests can now be taken home, in the hope that the Easter bunny will fill them generously.
